Is the kitchen cloth blackened and dirty? 2 ways to make it look new

Kitchen rags are often used to wipe water stains, oil stains, and food residues, which are easily stained with dirt. Even if they are often washed with hands, they will turn black after a long time and even produce peculiar smells. How to make a blackened and smelly rag look new? Teach you 2 cleaning methods.

2 ways to clean wipes

 1. Immersion method

General oily rags: baking soda + white vinegar

Prepare a water basin, put 1 and a half tablespoons of baking soda, 3 tablespoons of white vinegar, and add some hot water to mix. Then put the greasy rag into the water basin and soak for about 10 minutes. Especially greasy wipes can be soaked for 1 to 2 hours. As long as the soaked cloth is scrubbed with clean water, it is enough.

Blackened rag: washing powder + sodium percarbonate

To clean particularly dirty black rags, some people may think of using bleach, but bleach will smell. We recommend the use of sodium percarbonate (Sodium Carbonate Peroxyhydrate) and a detergent, heating the water (40 degrees Celsius) overnight soak.

Sodium percarbonate, also known as solid hydrogen peroxide, is a natural environmentally friendly bleaching powder. After being in contact with water, it will quickly decompose and release oxygen to achieve the functions of bleaching, decontamination, and odor removal. Another advantage of sodium percarbonate is that it is non-toxic, odorless, and non-polluting, and is suitable for home use.

2. Boiling method

Boiling water + baking soda

Take an old pot and boil water, add 1 to 3 tablespoons of baking soda, put a rag into the pot, and cook for 5 to 20 minutes on low heat. During this period, you can use chopsticks to stir slightly to make it evenly heated. Then you have to turn off the heat and let it cool slowly. When the hand is not hot, rub it with your hands, wring it dry, and then rinse with water.

Boiling water + eggshell

Once on shore, do not throw away the egg shell, you can stay clean wash rag . The method is to boil 4 to 5 eggshells with water, put the water in a rag after boiling, and boil for 6 to 10 minutes. The eggshell has a decontamination effect because the eggshell contains protease, which can remove oil stains and stains.

3 things to pay attention to when using rags

In order to keep the rag clean and reduce bacteria, you need to pay attention to the following when using the rag:

1. Partition use

In order to avoid cleaning difficulties and cross-infection of bacteria, it is best to use rags in partitions and use different colors as distinctions. For example, one for the pool, one for the stove, and one for the cutting board. If you feel that there is a lot of grease on the cooktop, it is troublesome to clean it after wiping the grease with a rag, you can also use a small vegetable cloth or disposable kitchen paper towels instead.

2. Wash by hand, hang to dry

After each use of the rag, wash it, wring it out, and hang it up to speed up drying. Occasionally, it can also be aired outdoors in the sun to achieve the purpose of sterilization.

3. Regular replacement

The rag is easy to contain dirt and dirt. Even if it is cleaned frequently, it is inevitable that bacteria and dirt will accumulate in the fiber due to frequent use. It is recommended to replace it every 1 to 2 months. If the rag is moldy, don't hesitate to replace it with a new one!
